Yeah he has eyes, they only show sometimes though. ;) Like when he hangs upside down. They're kinda small and sleepy-looking.

So, I've been working forever trying to hammer out a final character design for my Thumbelina fancharacter Cecil the bat...This is at least a lot closer than the last one I submitted. I decided to make his whole wings hands (like Foxglove from Rescue Rangers) to make him closer in design with the other animal characters, rather than putting little hands on the wing joints like I was planning...His clothes are pretty generic 17th century ones, but even that was hard to design, and I may shuffle the colors some still...Anyways probably the biggest change is, he no longer has a backpack. I simply could not figure out how a bat (if his wing membranes touch his ankles, anyways) can wear a bag of any kind...so I'll just be editing the story a bit to say he keeps his journal and everything in his vest. Its a cartoon, he can have a Vest of Holding...anyways while I'm editing the story I can also describe him, which I didn't really do before since I didn't know what he looked like. :P

Anyways species-wise I was originally designing him to be a Serotine bat, but after all the bat research I did I think I ended up kinda amalgamating several species. Oh well.

(Oh and yeah, his vest is supposed to be misbuttoned, not just drawn wonky.)

This character belongs to me. So no touchy without permission. He's supposed to be voiced by Jamie Oliver btw, lol.

Oooh, is it me or does he have a tail?? I always seem to think Bats should have tails, even if they're lil' ones. ^_^

Oh, jeez, this reminds me of a Bug's Life character I made, 'round the time I mentioned to you earlier. He was SUCH a minor character and only had ONE scene that was his only significant part.

I love how bushy his hair is. It's like one of those Vultures in "The Jungle Book" :XD:

I love eyes-obscuring hair. I wanted to do that with my fursona but if I ever make a fursuit of her I wouldn't be able to see. :P

Interesting character design there, and he's got a Victorian English vibe about him. I like the idea of keeping all his stuff under his vest, lol.
And when you say Jamie Oliver, do you mean the well-known TV chef?
