My Spare

Because when you go to the moon, you have to bring a spare bag of air.

From the Sam and Max comic (I can't find my copy to give you an exact quote right now). When S&M went to the moon, they were wearing these grocery bag "helmets" of air, and when Max asks what they do when they run out of air, Sam asks "didn't you bring a spare?"

This will be part of my Sybil cosplay at Comic Con this summer (and yes I will have a spare!). I will make one for Max next. I hope to have extras for anyone else who wants one.


ANYWAYS, I can't find unprinted brown grocery bags anywhere, except online in bulk. They're extremely cheap, a hundred is only ten bucks, but shipping would be twenty and I don't really need a hundred...fifty maybe, twenty-five would be better. But apparently that can't be done. So I'm making my own bags from brown craft paper. Its very ghetto but it's cheaper. The blue squares are cut from quilt templates; in the cartoon (the comic being black and white) the squares are green; but blue will do just as well. The twine is plain jute.
