Okay here is the finished Ghostly Trio. Again, this was my first time doing any sort of shading so I know it isn't great. I used the soften filter on the shadows so the lines wouldn't be as sharp. I used screencaps from the '96 Casper cartoon as reference, and yes they really do have such large shaded areas. This is based on a shot in the short episode "Fugedaboudit."
OMG I totally remember this pose! Actually back in '96 I would watch the series whenever it was on and tape it myself. I used to pause the vhs I recorded on and draw from poses that I liked. Its in an old red drawing book that is probably somewhere in storage. My mom keeps slowly going through the stuff in there so I am hoping one of these days to find it so I can post some of my really old drawings on DA
You know, the whole reason I even joined DA was so I could scan in and post stuff from when I was like, 10, and up, but I never got around to it and now I don't have a working scanner. D'oh.

lmao that sucks! I hate when stuff like that happens. I have a scanner at home but am at my mom's for vacation so I cant scan anything either lol. I tried to scan in a bunch of stuff before I left so I could at least color it here.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
