Grappling Hook!

Prop of Mabel's grappling hook gun from Gravity Falls for my Mabel cosplay (I left the orange ziptie SacAnime con security put on for my next con), plus holster. Its made from a toy lazer gun painted black, with a small hole drilled through one side for the bundle of clothesline. The hook part is made from some plant hooks Dremeled down and JB Welded into a short length of aluminum tubing. The points were carved from foam, dipped in Plastidip, and glued on, then the whole piece was spray painted chrome. I drilled a small hole through the aluminum tube and through the orange tip on the gun and then the two pieces are held together with a small bolt. The holster was orignally a cheapo gun holster from Spirit, split open, and some Velcro tabs sewn on for holding the gun in place. Because I could I made a shooting star patch (same as the ones I sell in my Etsy shop) and sewed that on. I installed grommets just in case security at a  con ever insist I ziptie the whole gun into the holster.
